Description

The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis for a firm fixed price base year and one (1) option year with AMIRIX Systems Inc. DBA: VEMCO Div of VEMCO for the acquisition of acoustic fish tags for the use with USBR-owned VEMCO 180kHz receivers under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(c). VEMCO is the only manufacturer of the required acoustic fish tags. These tags must be used to maintain consistency with the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Biological Opinion, Reclamation is required to support the investigation of the Long Term Coordinated Operations of the Central Valley Project (CVP) and State Water Project SWP) (BiOP) and San Joaquin River Flow Modification Project (SJFMP). Firms believing they can provide these supplies above must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer with supporting evidence to that effect in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received within the due date of the solicitation will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall be emailed to the Government point of contact below, and shall include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number and Tax Identification Number. Firms shall identify business size (i.e. small business, other than small business, etc.) in accordance with the size standard for NAICS Code 335999 which is 500 employees.
