Noun: FILTER BODY, FLUID Applicable to: TF33 NSN: 2945-00-757-8264RV P/N: 489114 or 446924 Estimated Issue Date: 01-FEB-2013 - Estimated Response Date: 01-MAR-2013 RFP: SPRTA113R0157 PR: FD2030-13-00083 AMC: 1R Export Controlled: No Qualification Requirement: No NEW MANUFACTURED MATERIAL ONLY The items, estimated quantities and required deliveries are as follows: CLIN 0001: FILTER BODY, FLUID Function: An oil filter housing, equipped with a by-pass relief valve assembly assures a clean supply of oil to lubrication system. Dimension: 14.500" L x 14.500" W x 16.500" H; 3.5LB WT Material: Magnesium Alloy Destination: SW3211 Quantity: 22 EA (MIN 6/MAX 33) Delivery: 02 JUN 2014 Potential 3-Year MYC contract with a BEQ of 63 EA for the total 3 year requirement. Current qualified sources are: The Birken Manufacturing Company (Cage: 31340), Timken Aerospace Transmissions LLC (Cage: 15152), United Technologies Corporation (Cage: 52661), and SPX Corp. (Cage: 82001) Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
