Businesses not registered PRIOR to the event will not be allowed to participate ─ NO WALK-INS. The OCC and FHFA are co-hosting a vendor outreach event entitled Top Teaming Tactics: What Primes Really Want to provide technical assistance for small businesses and women and minority-owned businesses interested in entering or growing their contract opportunities with the Federal government. The OCC charters, regulates, and supervises national banks and federal savings associations. The OCC's goal is to ensure federal financial institutions operate in a safe and sound manner and in compliance with laws requiring the fair treatment of customers and fair access to credit and financial products. The OCC's annual procurement expenditures are approximately $140 million, with the top spend categories primarily in the following North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes: 541519; 541611; 541513; 541310; 524210; 541512; and 518210. The FHFA is an independent regulatory agency responsible for the oversight of the housing government-sponsored enterprises including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Federal Home Loan Banks. FHFA is also the conservator for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. These institutions play critical roles in supporting the nation's housing finance system. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guarantee mortgage-backed securities (MBS) and hold mortgages and MBS for investment. The Federal Home Loan Banks lend money to banks and other financial institutions using mortgages as collateral and also invest in mortgage-related assets. FHFA's mission is to ensure that these institutions operate in a safe and sound manner so that they serve as a reliable source of liquidity and funding for housing finance and community investment. The FHFA's annual procurement expenditures are approximately $55 million; with the top spend categories primarily in the following NAICS codes: 531120, 541110, 541611, 541511, 541513, and 423430. Both OCC and FHFA utilize the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Schedules (Multiple Award Schedules) Program for many of their contracting needs. The agenda for Top Teaming Tactics: What Primes Really Want includes: (1) what primes really want; (2) your "fit" checklist; (3) teaming types; (4) teaming agreements and beyond; and (5) the meeting and briefing toolkit. Attendees will also participate in a structured networking session with representatives from other businesses.
