- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), intends to award a single-source Firm Fixed-Priced Purchase Order for instructional services to conduct Impaired Driving, occupant Protection, and Data Analysis & Evaluation Courses for National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The FAA intends to issue an award to James L. Nichols (DUNS: 118732960) of Vienna, VA for the required instructional services. This procurement is considered to be a single-source due to specialized experience in this field. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures. The proposed NAICS code for this acquisition is 541690, "Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services", with a size standard of $14.0 Million. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation or Request for Proposal. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
