Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 1010 Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA is performing market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of qualified (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business; (2) Veteran Owned Small Business; or (3) Small or emerging small business firms to set aside a single award contract. The Government will use responses to this notice to make to an appropriate acquisition decision. The sharing partner shall be responsible for providing personnel, tools, vehicles and supervision necessary to perform all removal and pickup of accumulated surplus personal property which as been determined by the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) and placed by VAPHS personnel in locations of all three (3) divisions of the VAPHS. This scrap consists of mixed scrap metals, plastics, scrap wood and scrap medical equipment/supplies consisting of either or both, ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The three campuses to be included are the Highland Drive Campus (7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206), Heinz Division (1010 Delafield Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15215) and University Drive (University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240). The anticipated period of performance will be one basic year plus four (4) one-year pre-priced options for renewal. All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated above should respond, in writing, with information describing their interest, capabilities, geographic location and indicate which small business category for which they qualify to the Contract Specialist Heather Krah at heather.krah@va.gov, no later than 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Time), January 25, 2013. Solicitation VA244-13-R-0321 - Scrap Removal has been assigned and should be referenced on all correspondence regarding this announcement. The NAICS Code 562111 is applicable to this acquisition, with a Business Size Standard of $12.5 M. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the Systems for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract.
