Description

This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER N00164-12-D-JT64. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, intends to modify the existing firm-fixed-price, supply-type contract N00164-12-D-JT64, awarded to US Tower Corporation, Woodlake, California on 07 SEP 2012 for the procurement of replacement and spare parts and services for the support of the Ground Based Operational Surveillance Systems (GBOSS) 2.0 80 & 107 tower systems to incorporate contract line item numbers (CLINs) to satisfy additional spare and replacement part requirements within scope of the contract. The total maximum dollar value of $3,841,985.61 will increase by an estimated $900,000.00 as a result of this modification. This contract action will be conducted on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The basis for restricting competition is that US Tower is the proprietary owner of the drawing package, the original equipment manufacturer and the sole proprietary source for all the required replacement parts to support and sustain the fielded GBOSS 2.0 US Tower systems as well as the GBOSS systems currently being produced.
