- The principle components of the work include the following: Mechanical work - replace existing 500 nominal gpm with 750 gpm vertical turbine sump pumps, remove and dispose of discharge piping, remove and dispose of existing vertical turbine sump pumps, prepare concrete floor for installation of new vertical turbine sump pumps, furnish and install replacement vertical turbine sump pumps, furnish and install discharge pipe, valves and accessories, furnish and install non-shrink grout for pump machine bases and sole plates, furnish and install coatings for pumps, pipes and equipment; Electrical work - furnish and install conduits, conductors and associated electrical equipment and materials, furnish and install control panels, modify 480V Unit Substation and Buttress 16 distribution panels, connect all electrical controls and distribution panels for sump pump operation. The solicitation will be issued on or around February 19, 2013. The bid opening will be scheduled at least 30 days from the date the solicitation is actually issued. Currently, the bid opening date is tentatively scheduled for March 19, 2013 at the Bureau of Reclamation's Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. Once issued, the solicitation (including specifications and drawings) will be posted at www.fbo.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov (from the National Business Center website, search by Solicitation No. R13PS60080; once you select the solicitation, click on "Clauses and Attachments" to view the PDF Attachments.) All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The estimated price range of this acquisition is $250,000 to $500,000. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 238210. The small business size standard is $14.0 Million. This acquisition will be issued under full and open competition. Note 1: Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration. Contractors may register at http://www/ccr/gov Note 2: Effective January 1, 2005, any contractor submitting a quotation, offer or proposal to the Government must complete their Representations and Certifications online.
