- NASA/GRC has a requirement for the annual maintenance and support on the following NX Licenses: (1) ea NX Advanced Sheet Metal Design Part # NX30111-MT (1) ea NX Wave Control Part # UG10850-MT (1) ea NX Wire EDM Part # UG-11280-MT (1) ea NX Software & Doc Media Site Set - Windows Part # UG-10000-WI (12) ea NX Gateway Part # UG10100-MNT (4) ea NX Drafting Part # UG10210-MT (9) ea NX Solid Modeling Part # UG10610-MNT (4) ea NX Feature Modeling Part # UG10620-MT (2) ea NX Freeform Modeling Part # UG10630-MT (4) ea NX Manufacturing Bundle Part # UG10770-MT (2) ea NX Assemblies Part # UG10810-MNT (1) ea NX User-Defined Features Part # UG10820-MT ((1) ea NX Post Builder Part # UG11216-MT (1) ea NX Sheet Metal Design Part # UG11430-MT (21) ea NX Open C and C++ Runtime Part # UG12210-MNT (2) ea NX Open Grip Runtime Part # UG12230-MT (1) ea NX Open Toolkit Pkg Development Part # UG12260-MT (1) ea NX IGES DXF and STEP Part # UG12880-MT (1) ea NX 2D Exchange Part # UG12895-MT (1) ea NX Rapid Prototyping Part # UG2070-MT 4) ea NX Postprocessor Module (GPM) Part # UG2720-MT NASA/GRC intends to purchase this maintenance and support from Spatial Integrated Systems, Inc., 2815 Rouse Rd Ext., Kinston, NC 28504-7321. Siemens Government Technologies, Inc., is the manufacturer of this software and has appointed Spatial Integrated Systems as the exclusive small business reseller for this requirement. Siemens owns the source code and the software is proprietary to them. The maintenance, support, and upgrades are for an existing suite of licenses already in use at our Center. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. The sole source is under the authority of FAR reference 13.106-1(b)1. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on January 22, 2013. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
