Description

Project 636-13-803, PICU Improvements. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to install top-of the-door alarms and replace flooring in the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) on the 10th Floor of Building 1 located at the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS) Omaha VA Medical Center, 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska 68105-1850. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, mechanical, necessary demolition and certain other items necessary for the completion of this project. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings of the solicitation (when available) and all applicable local and VA codes. Solicitation Number VA263-13-Q-0466 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about February 4, 2013. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit will be held sometime during the week of February 11-15, 2013. (See solicitation when available for specific date/time/location of site visit). Bids are tentatively scheduled to be due on Thursday, March 14, 2013 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date). The Period of Performance is expected to be 135 calendar days from the receipt of award. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is expected to be between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00.
