- Notice of Intent to Sole Source ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR13.106 to HI-TECHNIQUES, INC., 2515 FRAZIER AVENUE, MADISON, WI 53713-1505. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Hi-Techniques, Inc., is the only known source available to provide digitizer cards for the existing Hi-Techniques Synergy 8 data acquisition system. The Government intends to acquire the commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. CST on January 28, 2013. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Ellaine.r.james@usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line. STATEMENT OF WORK FOR DIGITIZER CARDS: The Engineering Research and Development center (ERDC) needs seven digitizer cards for our existing Hi-Techniques Synergy 8 data acquisition system. The cards will need to be delivered to building 5014 of the Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg, MS. Specifications and requirements are given below that the digitizer cards must comply with: SPECIFICATIONS: 1.Quantity = 7 total. 2.Cards must fit into existing Synergy 8 data acquisition system chassis. 3.Cards must have four channels with 2MS/s maximum acquisition rate. 4.Each channel must have independent differential excitation and sense lines. 5.Each card must have universal inputs for voltage and bridge signals via a 62-pin front connector. 6.Each card must have breakout connectors for thermocouple with CJC, BNC connectors for IEPE devices and screw terminal strips for bridge connection 7.Each channel must have digitizing and transient memory with 32 MS per channel acquisition RAM. Delivery: Deliver as soon as possible but NLT 30 days after award Deliver to building 5014 of the Waterways Experiment Station, 3909 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS.
