- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS; IT IS STRICTLY AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO SOLICIT FOR A FUTURE REQUIREMENT. NEITHER UNSOLICITED PROPOSALS, NOR ANY OTHER KINDS OF OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The anticipated award will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The period of performance will be for one (1) base period of 5 months and four (4) one-year option periods. The solicitation shall incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-47. This acquisition is to be set aside and awarded as awarded as competitive 8(a). Information Assurance (IA) Support Services - The contractor shall be required to provide Information Assurance (IA), Certification/Accreditation or Assessment/Authorization, IA Management (IAM) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Security support services as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). This is Firm-Fixed Price contract with a base performance period of 1 May 2013 through 30 Sep 2013 with four (4) one year options. The total period of performance will be from 1 May 2013 through 30 Sep 2017. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for those concerns and its affiliates is 541519. The small business size standard is $25.5 million. Request for Proposal (RFP) will be tentatively issued on or about 31 Jan 2013 with receipt of proposals tentatively scheduled on or about 04 Mar 2013; vendors are responsible for monitoring www.fbo.gov for actual release of solicitation as no further announcement will be made prior to solicitation being issued.
