Description

The Carl Vinson VAMC located at 1827 Veterans Boulevard Dublin, Georgia 31021 intends to release a Invitation for Bid (IFB) numbered VA247-13-B-0186 for project # 557-12-101 entitled 'Renovate 11B Surgery Suit ' on or about the week of February 4, 2013. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full solicitation will be posted on FEDBIZOPPS ww.fbo.gov. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for CVE Verified (www.vetbiz.gov) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) under Public Law 109-461. The applicable NAICS code will be 236220 with an applicable small business size standard of $33.5M. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance period is 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. There will be a pre-bid site investigation for this project and all prospective offerors are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site visit will be included in the solicitation package. Offerors are advised not to contact the Contracting Officer to schedule a pre-bid visit. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming IFB solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. The Contracting Officer will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until an IFB is issued. Offerors are instructed not to contact the Resident Engineer directly. Questions will only be answered that are received by Request for Information (RFI). The contracting officer will not maintain a bidders mailing list. All interested parties should register via FEDBIZOPPS interested vendors list. Do not contact the Contracting Officer for General Contractor information. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FebBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. The scope of work for this project is to relocate surgery from the second floor of Building #4 to the second floor of Building #11. Renovate the second floor of Bldg #11 from its present administrative function to a clinical function (Surgery) utilizing the full 8,333 DGSF footprint. This contract should be executed by a general contractor utilizing the following trades: demolition, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC/Mechanical, electrical, communications (telephone, data and building management controls, Nurse Call, Fire Alarm), masonry, structural.
