Description

NAVAIR NAWCAD Lakehurst intends to enter into a sole source contract with Eaton Aerospace for the procurement of peculiar tools that have been custom-designed to service the following MV-22 aircraft components: Ramp Control Valve, Master Brake Valve, Winch Hoist Control Valve, and Local Switching Valve. These aircraft components are all of unique design created and manufactured by Eaton Aerospace. The specific tools planned to be procured are: NSN 5120-01-046-5028 Inserter O-Ring (3 ea); NSN 5120-01-222-9420 Puller (3 ea); NSN 5120-01-262-1490 Bullet (2 ea); NSN 5120-01-354-3454 Installation Tool (3 ea); NSN 5120-01-488-9251 Sizer (2 ea); NSN 5120-01-272-5943 Sizing Tool, Sleeve (2 ea); Eaton Part Number T-19552 Installation Tool (2 ea).The Government intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation section 6.302-1. Eaton Aerospace designed the items and is the only source possessing the technical data necessary to provide them. Firms that believe they can satisfy this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and their capabilities in writing. A determination by the Navy not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response(s) to this notice is solely within the Navy's discretion.
