Description

The Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) and negotiate a contract on a sole-source basis to General Dynamics Advance Information Systems (GDAIS), 100 Plastics Avenue, Pittsfield, MA 01201-3698. This procurement will fulfill the ongoing FY 2014 through FY 2015 sustainment requirements of the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) TRIDENT II (D5) Strategic Weapons System (SWS) SSBN Fire Control Subsystem (FCS) and the US SSGN Attack Weapons Control System (AWCS), including development, production and installation, training, and support equipment. The anticipated award of the resultant contract is October 1, 2013. An Award Notice will be publicized, when applicable, along with the supporting Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition (J&A), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 5.301, 5.303, and 6.305 under separate notice. This effort is inextricably linked to work already being performed by GDAIS under Contract N00030-12-C-0006, which was awarded using other than full and open competition.
