- Description
- Haul & Install Industry Day Notice Industry Day Flyer The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) would like to extend an invitation to industry members to participate in a half day round table discussion. On Tuesday February 19, 2013 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, FEMA will discuss goals for potential future requirements for manufactured homes to be used as mobile temporary housing units. In addition, FEMA will discuss the requirements for the installation, maintenance and deactivation of mobile temporary housing units as well as site selection, design and construction of group sites. This is not a request for proposal (RFP) and there is no guarantee that an RFP will result from these discussions. The purpose of the discussion is allow industry the opportunity to comment on approaches that FEMA could use to contract for national services to install and maintain mobile temporary housing units as well as select, design and build group sites for those units. Topics of discussion are based on the Request for Information that FEMA previously published (HSFE70-13-I-0031) and is included as an attachment to this Industry Day Notice. Please contact the FEMA representative identified below no later than Thursday, February 14, 2013 to register for this discussion. FEMA requests that no more than three (3) representatives from each manufacturer attend these discussions. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at least one-half hour early to register for the meeting as well as to process through any security/visitor control requirements. Early arrival will ensure the meeting starts on time.
