Description
Questions and Answers RFI Reference Number NRL-13-RH04 Contact Information Richard Hobson, e-mail richard.hobson@nrl.navy.mil and phone 202-404-6199 Special Notice This is neither a request for formal Request for Proposals (RFP) or quotes. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with the development and submission of materials in response to this request. There is no solicitation available at this time. However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against NRL shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought notice or NRL's use of such information as either part of our evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement. Objective The prospective contractor shall provide one microwave receiver with the following specifications: a) Weight: 26 lbs. max.; b) Power Consumption: 175 Watts max.; c) RF Input Range: 100 MHz to 20 GHz; d) Noise Figure: 17 dB max.; e) IF Output #1: 160 MHz center, 100 MHz bandwidth; f) IF Output #2: 1 GHz center, 500 MHz bandwidth; g) Tuning Speed: 50ms max.; h) External Reference Input: 10 MHz; i) RF Attenuation: 0 to 70 dB; j) IF Attenuation: 0 to 70 dB The microwave system shall also include one millimeter-wave frequency extender with the following specifications: a) Weight: 10 lbs. max.; b) Power Consumption: 50 Watts max.; c) RF Input Range: 0.5 to 40 GHz; d) Noise Figure: 12 dB, typical; e) Input 1dB Compression: -15 dBm, typical; f) Image Rejection: 75 dB, typical; g) External Reference Input: 10 MHz Contractor Response Format The NRL asks that interested parties, at a minimum, supply the following information: Contact Information • Name of Company and Point of Contact (POC) • Telephone Number, Fax Number, Address and e-mail address of POC • Business Size and number of employees • Proposed NAICS code Pricing and Schedule Information NRL is requesting interested contractors to provide a rough estimate, draft, or informal quote for this product and estimated delivery. Past Performance Information Please provide in the response any relevant past performance which would support the contractor's ability to provide the required item.
