Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement for a Design-Build project for Upgrades to the Lighting and Switches in selected buildings and areas at the U.S. Army Garrison Natick Soldier System Center, Natick, Massachusetts to determine the interest, availability and capability of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned and Small Business concerns as described below. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238210. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The project is planned to be issued on or about 1 June 2013 and the contract performance period is 12 months. The project will include the design, the retrofit or replacement of inefficient lighting within multiple buildings. In addition the project will include the installation occupancy sensors in select offices, restrooms, and common areas, work areas and select offices of the same buildings. Incorporate lighting circuit modifications necessary to relocate fixtures and install occupancy sensors. The upgrades will be designed and constructed in accordance with ASHRAE 90.1. Interested firms should submit a capabilities package to include the following: business classification (i.e. HUBZone, etc.); bonding capacity, qualifications and experience in performing the work requirements stated above; and proof of capability of completing projects of this type given the time constraints. Please include an example of the firm's experience with this type of design, construction and coordination. Subcontractors may be used to demonstrate this past experience. Interested firms should include Point of Contact information, as well as DUNS NUMBER and CAGE CODE on the cover sheet. Responses are due February 14, 2013. Responses should be addressed to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, 696 Virginia Road, Concord, MA 01742-2751, ATTN: Elandria M. Cameron. Responses are limited to twenty pages. Firms interested shall provide the above documentation in one original form and one copy by POSTAL MAIL ONLY. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. The results of this survey will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of this notice.
