Description

The Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Hampton, VA is in need of a contractor experienced in renovation and demolition work to furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, licenses, and qualified supervision to complete the project, "Renovate Emergency Department, Building 110B", at the Hampton VA Medical Center, Hampton, Virginia. Work includes selective demolition of the designated space and renovation of the space for clinical use. The contractor will be responsible for constructing new walls, doors, ceiling, floor finishes, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, nurse call system, fire alarm system, med gas systems and all other specified equipment. Most work will be performed during the normal hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, however, modification work associated with medical gas systems and HVAC systems in building 110B shall only be performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 2000 and 0600; including Saturdays and Sundays. All work within the existing negative pressure room shall be conducted only on Fridays through Sunday between the hours of 2000 and 0600. Other work related to this project may require work outside normal work hours. This is a Presolicitation only. Interested contractors should watch for the issuance of the solicitation which will have specific instructions and requirements associated with this procurement. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is February 08, 2013 with a bid opening on or about March 11, 2013. These are only tentative dates. The solicitation will have specific dates, times, and locations for the bid opening and site visit. The magnitude of construction per VAAR Part 836.204 is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This is a 100% SDVOSB set-aside. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220 with a maximum business size standard of $33.5 Million. All interested parties must be verified in VETBIZ as an SDVOSB prior to submitting a bid. This is a PRESOLICITATION NOTICE only. This is not a request for pricing at this time.
