- Subject: Sole Source Contract Award The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of River Protection (ORP) plans to contract by means other than full and open competition pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. DOE/ORP plans to award a sole source contract to Jeffrey S. Trent, physically located in Richland, WA. Jeffrey S. Trent will provide technical and programmatic support to DOE/ORP's Technical Issue Resolution Team and Mission Resolution Definition Core Team leadership to support the successful accomplishment of team commitments, deliverables and actions. DOE/ORP has determined that this effort can only be satisfied by the unique services provided by Jeffrey S. Trent. Jeffrey S. Trent is the only known source that is immediately available and who possesses vast knowledge of the Hanford Site and the Waste Treatment Plant. He is the only known source uniquely capable of providing support to DOE/ORP's Technical Issue Resolution Team and Mission Resolution Definition Core Team. Due to the unique nature of this requirement, DOE/ORP does not know of, and has not solicited other sources. This notice is not a solicitation for proposals, and none will be accepted.
