Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA249-13-Q-0221 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-63. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 562910 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The Department of Veteran Affairs, 1639 Medical Center Parkway, Suite 400, Murfreesboro, TN 37129, 615-225-6460, intends to award a contract for the purchase of Air Monitoring Services for Crawlspace Asbestos Abatement Project under contract VA249-12-C-0292 for the Veteran Administration Medical Center (VAMC) - Leestown Division, 2250 Leestown Road, Lexington, KY 40511. The salient characteristics are as follow: Clin 0001 - Air monitoring, inspections, abatement specification documentation, negative pressure containment verification, soil sampling, report generation and clearance testing for entire duration of the crawlspace asbestos abatement project VA249-12-C-0292. Project duration anticipated for 6 weeks. Work shall be in accordance with AHERA guidelines and VA specifications. This RFQ requires registration with the System for Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov) and verification with the VetBiz (www.vetbiz.gov ). The Contract will be awarded based on the Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable offer. It is the offerors responsibility to retrieve and review all attachments and amendments. The due date of this RFQ shall be 12 February 2013, 3:00pm Eastern Standard Time (EST). Offer must be valid thirty (30) after due date of RFQ.
