- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Solicitation Number: TARDEC-VEA-ALSE-2013 Notice Type: Sources Sought Title: A Request for Information on Potential Sources for TARDEC; Vehicle Electronics and Architecture (VEA) Synopsis: U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) is releasing this request for information to identify prospective sources capable of providing RF absorber-lined, shielded enclosure, quote mark demountable type quote mark hereinafter referred to as quote mark ALSE quote mark to the US Army Tank-Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) based in Warren, Michigan. Details are as follows. Important Note: This notice is strictly a request for information on prospective future sources. It is NOT a request for proposals or quotations, and it is not to be construed as a commitment on the Government's part to release a solicitation and/or to award a contract. Suggested NAICS Codes: 334515 334514 334513 Anticipated Period of Performance: Lead time for completed design, fabrication, delivery, installation, and commissioning of the ALSE to the requirements specified in this document shall be within 12-16 weeks after contract award. The time required for installation shall be no more than four (4) weeks. Estimated Cost: TBD Purpose of this effort: The purpose Sources Sought Notice is to identify qualified and eligible businesses that are interested in and capable of performing the work described in the Statement of Objectives (S.O.O.) ACC does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses received nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted. As a result of this notice, ACC may issue a Request for Proposal (RFP). THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against ACC shall arise as a result of a response to this notice or ACC use of such information as either part of our evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement. Description of Effort: This effort involves the furnishing of technical support to assist TARDEC in fulfilling its overriding mission of delivering advanced technology solutions to the US Army's ground vehicle fleet, with special emphasis on unmanned vehicle systems, software, engineering and vehicle electronic architecture. TARDEC supports critical customer requirements in ground vehicle technologies. TARDEC also supports Army Program Executive Offices (PEOs) for Ground Combat Systems.
