- W91RUS-13-R-GNEPE - Request For Information (RFI) GLOBAL NETWORK ENTERPRISE PLANNING AND ENGINEERING (GNEPE) IN SUPPORT OF THE NETWORK ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY COMMAND (NETCOM) DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC), Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Huachuca Division, located at Ft. Huachuca, AZ, is seeking input from industry regarding the shortening of DoD service contracts from five to three years. This was addressed in guidance from the Under Secretary of Defense AT&L Office. (See attached Ashton Carter memo dated 14 Sep 2010) This is a market survey for information only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. The current number of contractor personnel required to support the NETCOM G-5 is 236 full time equivalents (FTEs), with various labor categories and skill levels. The Government is requesting input on how the shortening of contract length from five to three years, would impact an offerors. Please discuss the benefits and drawbacks that may be realized with a five year contract over a three year contract, in terms of cost savings, technical solutions, preparing and submitting proposals, etc. Feel free to provide comments on the advantages or disadvantages of a shortened contract length. Due to the short suspense please refrain from asking questions on this request. The Government is only seeking comments on the shortening of contract length. Please continue to monitor FedBizOpps for more updates on this requirement. The Government is requesting a quick reply to this request.
