- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT The 6th Contracting Squadron, MacDill AFB, Florida, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Rees Scientific USA, 1007 Whitehead Road Ext., Trenton, NJ 08638 for a preventive maintenace agreement (PMA) for the existing Rees Environmental Alarm System monitors. The contract will result in a firm fixed price purchase order. Negotiation being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any responses to this notice shall be submitted to TSgt Christopher Stephenson at christopher.stephenson.1@us.af.mil or at (813) 828-1726. Responses are due no later than 6 February 2013, 10:00 AM EST. (NAICS) code 561621.
