Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst New Jersey intends to intends to solicit the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Thermo Electron North America of West Palm Beach, FL to procure 1 year of full service level preventive maintenance, parts, repair, and system technical support for ARL Optical Emission Spectrometer Model 3460, s/n 4371; ARL Quant'x, s/n 9036; and Nicolet iN10, s/n ALJ0900252. This includes system updates and emergency repair Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, including labor, travel, and replacement parts. Period of performance for this contract will be October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this synopsis in writing that contains information that would allow the government to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
