- Description
- Clearance Dimensions * Can the C-Channel frame (that I assume is used as a hold down for the pin) be removed to provide access for our machine tool? THE C-CHANNEL YOU ARE REFERRING TO WILL BE REMOVED BY THE GOVERNMENT PRIOR TO THE CONTRACTOR BORING THE HOLE. THE GOVERNMENT WILL REMOVE THE C-CHANNEL IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE EXISTING PIN. * How will the anchor bar be secured to ensure that it does not move during machining and pin installation? THE GOVERNMENT WILL PIN THE MITER GATE IN PLACE AND STABILIZE THE GATE. THE GOVERNMENT WILL ALSO REMOVE THE PIN. * What is the distance between the bottom plate and the bottom of the concrete trough (dimension A on the attached sketch)? What is the overall depth of the trough (dimension B)? SEE THE ATTACHED SKETCH WITH DIMENSIONS. * May we use several bolt holes that attach the plates to the c-channels to secure our machine? THE CONTRACTOR MAY USE EXISTING BOLT HOLES IN THE C-CHANNEL BUT THEY MAY NOT DRILL NEW BOLT HOLES. * Is tack welding an acceptable method of securing the machine tool to the c-channels? NO WELDING IS ALLOWED ON THE C-CHANNEL. * We assume that the 0.25" lip on the pin should be maintained, meaning that if the diameter of the pin body increases to Ø7.25", the lip diameter will increase to Ø7.75". Is this assumption correct? YES. NEED SOME HEAD STICKOUT BUT EXACT DIMENSION NOT CRITICAL IT MUST STILL CLEAR THE EXISTING BOLTS. * Will 120V 20Amp or 240V electrical service be available for our use on site? THERE ARE 120VAC, 20 AMP RECEPTACLES AVAILABLE BUT THERE IS NOT A 240VAC AVAILABLE.
