Description
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) intends to procure Independent Verification and Validation services for the Wage and Hour Division located in Washington D.C. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision and other items to accomplish the following: • Create an IV&V team structure. • Customize testing and evaluation documents which detail the IV&V procedures per IV&V assignment (IV&V assignment may include but are not limited to: software testing, business process evaluations, and technical / hardware evaluations). • Provide contract management for all deliverables outlined in the Statement of Work. • Provide IV&V work products that will be proficient to demonstrate that a product or product component for fills its intended use when placed in its intended environments for its intended use in its intended environment. • Provide IV&V work products that will be proficient to insure that the work product meet the specific requirements. The government contemplates the Request for Proposal (RFP) will result in a firm fixed price contract and will be issued as a 100% Hub-Zone Set-Aside. The RFP shall require the submission of a technical proposal as well as a price proposal. Technical will be considered significantly more important than price. Price will be considered and evaluated in determining the overall best value to the Government. It is anticipated that the subject solicitation will be issued to the FBO website on or about February 1, 2013. The solicitation will be issued electronically only, hard (paper) copies will not be provided. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the website for the issuance of the RFP as well as any amendments. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) and Online Representations and Certifications Application(ORCA) database (https://orca.bpn.gov/).
