Description
This is a Small Business Set-Aside Procurement Replacement of Eddy Current Drive units at the, Minneapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), 512 Division Street, Farmington, Minnesota The FAA intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract for the Replacement of the Four (4) Outdated Eddy Current Drives in the DSR Attic at the Minneapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), 512 Division Street, Farmington, Minnesota. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, services, insurance permits, equipment, tools, supervision and transportation in accordance with the specifications, drawings and contract provisions.. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1.Demolition of the existing AHUs 201, 202, 203 & 204 fan motors and eddy current drives in the DSR attic to include the motors, drives, drive control boxes, pulleys, sheaves, belts, motor mounts, electrical power and control circuits to be replaced. 2.Clean out the AHU housings. 3.Furnish and install new premium energy efficient fan motors along with compatible variable frequency motor controllers (VFDs) for AHUs 201, 202, 203 and 204. 4.Furnish and install new motor belts, pulleys, sheaves and motor mounts. 5.Furnish and install new control boxes, control panels and control wiring. 6.Furnish and install electrical power connections as needed for the new components to the AHUs. 7.Update the Direct Digital Control Panel (DCCP) with a new digital input from the new variable frequency drives as well as any modification(s) to the analog input. 8.Provide the operational manuals and the required training. 9.Startup and properly balance the system. 10.Other work as required on the project drawings and in the specifications. The work will be performed in strict accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. Contract performance time is 180 calendar days, with an anticipated start date of project of February/March 2013. The estimated price range for this procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000. NAICS is 236220. INTERESTED FIRMS MUST HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED SIMILAR PROJECTS BOTH IN DOLLAR AMOUNT, SCOPE OF WORK, AND COMPLEXITY, WITHIN THE LAST FIVE YEARS. COMPLETE AND SUBMIT ATTACHED BUSINESS DECLRATION FORM ALONG WITH THE LETTER OF INTEREST. General contractors must submit their interest for subject project on letterhead and include the firm's name, address, e-mail, phone number, fax number, and point of contact by no later than February 12, 2013, 5:00 p.m. (CST). This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
