- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue a solicitation for new mail metering equipment and rental of federal postage meters and maintenance for equipment. SSA is seeking a Contractor to provide new mail metering equipment for the agency's approximately 1600 outgoing mail sites located nationwide. The intended acquisition also provides for the rental of federal postage meters and maintenance for equipment purchased from this contract. SSA anticipates award of one (1) Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract. The period of performance will be one 6 month base period with four 1year option periods. This requirement is non-restricted and is available for full and open competition and is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The applicable North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) and size standard are532420 - Mailing equipment rental or leasing and $25 million. Request for Quote Number SSA-RFQ-13-0145 is scheduled for release on or about February 8, 2013 and will be available for downloading at www.fedbizopps.gov and/or www.fedconnect.net for all qualified parties.
