- SUBJ: REQUEST FOR INFORMATION - SOURCES SOUGHT M00263-13-R-0001 I. Detailed Description The Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC) is requesting a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) quote for the following commercial services. This information is for market research purposes only. This Sources Sought does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. There will be no resulting award from this sources sought. The NAICS Code is 484210 (Used Household and Office Goods Moving). MCRC anticipates approximately 93 relocations in Fiscal Year 13. MCRC requests transportation and relocation services to move furniture from one office location to another within a single Delivery Region for both origin and destination as defined in Section II. Place of Performance The place of performance is MCRC Districts, Substations and subordinate Recruiting Station locations in the 1st, 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, and 12th Marine Corps Districts (MCD). Furniture disassembly, pickup, drop off and assembly will be to various CONUS and OCONUS locations. Prices are inclusive of all costs associated disassembly, delivery, and assembly costs of items to the five (5) different requested regions. 1. Delivery region for 1st MCD (Northeast region of the United States) include: Maine, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia. 2. Delivery region for 4th MCD (Mid-Atlantic region of the United States) include: Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan, West Virginia and Indiana. 3. Delivery region for 6th MCD (Southeast region of the United States) include: South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Florida. 4. Delivery region for 9th MCD include: Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kansas, Arkansas, Michigan, Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota. 5. Delivery region for MCRDPI is Parris Island, South Carolina. III. Information to Submit Interested vendors shall submit the following information: a. Clearly describe your capabilities, within the past 3 years, in providing relocation (disassembly/assembly) of workstations or systems/modular furniture components, including freestanding furniture and movable wall with associated product. b. Clearly describe your capabilities, within the past 3 years, in coordinating and scheduling work prior to performance after receipt of a properly completed service order and final inspection and acceptance of work. c. Clearly describe your damage claims procedure and approximate numbers and amount of claims per 1,000 relocation miles. d. Provide a list of labor categories and hours required to perform the services outlined in this Sources Sought. e. Provide any other information you think relevant for the Government to evaluate your capabilities. IV. Capabilities Package All interested vendors shall submit a capabilities package that outlines their capabilities in providing all of the above-mentioned services. The capabilities packages should be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate ability to meet the stated requirements. The response shall not exceed 10 single-spaced, 12-point font typed pages. V. Applicable Provisions FAR 52.215-3 Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997) (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (b) Although "proposal" and "offeror" are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal.
