PR:0047503288 NSN:4820-00-732-1858 TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: UNRESTRICTED The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. Item Description: VALVE, BUTTERFLY (ALUMINUM BODY, 3.00 INCH, 30 PSI MAX OPERATING PRESSURE, FLANGE END CONNECTIONS. MEDIA = AIR) This is a cage and part number acquisition. The approved sources for this item are: TYCO VALVES & CONTROLS LP (04613) P/N 359-703-030-640-001, TYCO VALVES & CONTROLS LP (1X5W8) P/N 359-703-030-640-001. The total PR quantity is for 242 units with a 50% option. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The solicitation will be available on it issue date of 02/12/13 at http://dibbs.bsm.dla.mil. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. Delivery requested is 210 days. FOB is Destination, inspections and acceptance is Destination. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10U.S.C.2304(c)(1). Approved sources are: Tyco Valve & Controls LP (04613) and Tyco Valve & Controls LP (1X5W8).
