- Description
- A modification, issued under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, to contract W56HZV-08-C-0525 with Michigan Technological University (MTU), 1400 Townsend Dr, Houghton, MI 49931 is contemplated. The modification is to add 15,000 man-hours to the existing option in the contract, and extend the total period of contract performance from 60 months to 72 months. The modification will provide continued support for the design and development of Assured Mobility and Maneuver Support materiel solutions in the following categories: (i) combat vehicle threat neutralization and detection; (ii) route clearance; (iii) crew survivability for tracked and wheeled tactical ground vehicles; (iv) bridging and gap defeat; (v) construct, maintain, and improve routes, infrastructure, and obstacles; (vi) the design, analysis, and testing of materiel solutions. MTU is uniquely capable and facilitized to meet the US Army Tank-Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center's research and development requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner. A solicitation will not be issued in response to this synopsis.
