- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. It is being presented to determine if there are four (4) or more capable Small Businesses that can perform the requirements for an anticipated contract. Responses to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice. All capable Small Businesses should respond with a capability statement along with projected pricing, to assist the Government in determining in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b) if a set aside is required. The Philadelphia VA Medical Center, Pennsylvania is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of qualified, technically capable vendors capable of providing laundry/linen services for the the VA Medical Center located at University And Woodland Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19104, and the Community Living Center (CLC) located at 400 Civic Center Blvd. Philadelphia, PA 19104(located across the street from the VA Medical Center). The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 812320 and the small business size standard is $5.0 million dollars. Please indicate the socio-economic status of your firm. As indicated above, the small business threshold is $5.0 million dollars. Please check the following that apply: 1: Service disabled, veteran owned small business_________ 2: Veteran owned small business _______ 3: Small business_______ 4: (8a) firm _________ 5: HUB zone ________ 6: Large business/other than small business firm__________ Laundry/linen service is to include all labor, material, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform contractor owned/contractor operated laundry/linen services required under this contract for the VA Medical Center and the Community Living Center. This laundry/linen service includes patient clothing, chaplains prayer clothes, chaplain's linens, chaplan's robes, curtain panels, seat covers, sheets and pillowcases, surgical scrubs, cook towels, tablecloths, table napkins, and table skirts. All services are to be performed in accordance with standard industry practices and quality control measures. Services shall include pick-up and delivery of items by contractor personnel. These Services are required Monday through Saturday on a weekly basis, excluding federal holidays to include any other day specifically declared by the President of the United States to be a national holiday. Philadelphia VA Medical Center and Philadelphia Community Living Center are required to provide 24-7 support operations essential to patient care. This laundry/linen service will be in support of patient care programs. Contractor services turn-around for the VA Medical Center shall be performed accordingly to support the medical center operations. Contractor services turn-around for the Community Living Center shall be within forty eight (48) hours to include pick up, inventory, wash, dry, fold and return of patents personal clothing. Responses to this notice should include the following: Offeror's company name, DUNS, address, point of contact, title, phone number and email address; Offeror's capability to meet this requirement and any pertinent information which demonstrates the firm's ability to meet the above requirements. Offeror must provide the above requested information. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website in the near future. Responses to this sources sought announcement are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought notice. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with System For Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
