Description
This Sources Sought notice is a request for information to be used for preliminary market research and planning purposes only. The Government is seeking responses from contractors interested and capable of performing the required services. No proposals are being requested or accepted. This is NOT a solicitation and no contract will be awarded from this notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of interested parties including Small Business (SB); 8A; Historically Underutilized Business (HUBZone); Service-Disable Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOB); and Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB). The Idaho Panhandle National Forests (IPNF) is made up of of the Priest Lake, Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry, Coeur d Alene River and St Joe Ranger Districts. The IPNF expects to solicit for Road Maintenance Blading services that will result in the proper mix of aggregates and fines to maintain aggregates on the road way, the elimination of ruts and chuckholes, maintenance and functionality of ditchlines and water diversion structures, and removal of rocks, limbs and other debris from the road prism while maintaining vegetation that serves to prevent or moderate erosion from runoff, work includes road grading, scarification, clearing debris from ditches, minor road repair. The IPNF anticipates awarding up to 4 Firm-fixed price Indefinite Delivery Requirements type contracts. The period of performance is anticipated to be for one base year with one or two option years. In order to determine the extent of industry interest and capability, interested parties must submit a written response to ATTN: Rita Loper, USDA Forest Service, Region 1, Idaho Montana Acquisition Team, Idaho Panhandle National Forests, 3815 Schreiber Way, Coeur d Alene, ID 83815 or FAX to (208) 765-7229 or email rloper@fs.fed.us. Responses are due by February 20, 2013, 4:00 p.m (pacific). The responses shall include: 1) Name of Firm, Point of Contact, Mailing Address, Telephone Number, and DUNS number. 2) Identification of the appropriate small business eligibility as determined by the NAICS size standards, the Small Business Administration and registration in System for Award Management (SAM), including SB, HUBZone, 8A, SDVOB and WOSB. 3) A brief description of experience providing this type of services especially on Forest Roads, including dollar value of previous work performed within the past three years.
