- Project Description: Design-build of two Access Control Points in accordance with the Department of Army Access Control Points criteria. Experience in designing, scheduling, and phasing similar type project is recommended. Supporting facilities include electric service, water, sanitary sewer, roadway improvements, parking, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, fencing and exterior lighting, CCTV, access control systems, active vehicle barriers, site preparation and improvements, permanent screening facilities, fire protection and alarm systems, and information systems to include all necessary telecommunications and data systems. All required antiterrorism protection measures shall be included at each Post. This project also requires site demolition of existing guard booths, canopies, bituminous and concrete pavement and tree removal. The proposed procurement will be unrestricted, using NAICS Code: 236220 with a business size standard of $33.5 million. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge on or about 21 February 2013, to all authenticated account holders registered with the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) System. Please note that all US Army Corps of Engineers acquisitions are considered sensitive, but unclassified documents and require users to have valid MPIN entered in the FBO systems to access package. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper.
