- DLA MARITIME PUGET SOUND intends to issue a solicitation for the following commercial supply type item, 200 each, 200 TON ROLLER ASSEMBLY, consisting of a low-profile housing, a chain, two (2) cam blocks, and four (4) cam rollers. The housing costs of one (1) flat top-plate, two (2) side plates, two end plates and one load plate. The roller housing assembly housing shall be of all welded construction. The Load plate shall be a machine groove for guiding the roller chain. The groove shall be integral with the load plate material. Each roller assembly shall be equipped with one (1) each endless roller chain that rotates about the load plate. The chain shall be stainless steel and have a master link allowing ease of removal. Each roller assembly shall have two (2) bolt-in-cam blocks for installation of the cam rollers. Each roller assembly shall have four (4) bolt-in-cam rollers with a 3-inch diameter roller. The cam rollers shall be McGill part#CF-3-SB or 25260 Static Capacity Smith Bearing PN CR-3-XB. Each cam roller shall have a hexagonal hole in the face of the stud for installation and removal. All items not explicitly identified are the vendor ™s responsibility (i.e., material specifications, material thickness, etc.). The roller shall have a minimum working vertical load carry capacity of 200 short ton. The roller assembly shall require not more than 50 pounds horizontally motive force per short-ton load supported. The end plates and/or cam blocks shall be designed to withstand a 100,000 pound jacking force applied horizontally to the midpoint of the item while the roller housing is restrained from movement. The bearing area of the jack is 5-inches in diameter. The roller assembly shall move easily when pushed by hand when on a flat, level surface (with cam rollers removed). Must have corrosion protection. Additional requirements will be provided in the specifications found in the solicitation document. This requirement will be solicited as 100% small business set aside using the commercial item procedures at FAR Part 12 and 13.5. Delivery is required by 06 September 2013. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a firm fixed-price contract. This requirement will utilize low-price, technically acceptable evaluation factors in determining the successful offeror. The applicable NAICS Code is 333924. Offers shall be FOB Destination to Bremerton, WA. The solicitation number for this requirement is SPMYM2-13-R-0011. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available for download on or around 07 February 2013. The closing date of the solicitation will be on 06 March 2013 at 2:00 PM Pacific Local Time, unless a later date is specified in the solicitation. The RFP will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link at https://www.neco.navy.mil and will also be available for download at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP from these websites and to frequently monitor the sites for any amendments to the RFP. A bidders list will not be maintained by this office, no telephone or fax requests for the RFP package will be accepted. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFP and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render vendor offer non-responsive and result in rejection of the same.
