Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, RI (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source contract to Lockheed Martin-Sippican, Marion, MA. The NUWCDIVNPT requirement is for technical analysis of the received Signal-to-Noise capability of the AN/BRR-6/6B Antennae System. Lockheed Martin-Sippican is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and is the only vendor that possesses the required technical expertise in the electrical design of the system to perform the required analysis. These services are essential. The NAICS is 541330; size standard is $27 million. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
