Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURE POSTING MUSEUM STORAGE SHELVES, 7 Feb 2013 This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using acquisition of commercial items procedures under FAR part 12 to procure New shelving expansion and installation for National Museum of the Marine Corps (NMMC) in conjunction with existing rolling shelf layout. This is a notice of intent for procurement of a Firm Fixed Price, Sole source award. This requirement is for the storage, preservation and exhibit of historical artifacts representing the Marine Corps history from 1775 to the present. This requirement is to be incorporated into the current weapons storage area and must be compatible with the existing storage system. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for the above selves to Space Savers Inc, 10800 Connecticut Ave, Kensington, MD 20895-2102. The purposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy the requirement. DURATION: This requirement delivery date is 15 February 2013. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for quotation. No solicitation document is available and telephone, fax or email request will not be honored. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government.
