Description
Limited Source Justification - Brand Name This is an Award Notice - GD139OAR9T5 Modification 29 Task order GD139OAR9T5 was competitively awarded to INDUS; no other company other than INDUS supports this program. IDUS follows the requirement of this task order regarding the purchase of other direct cost in support of individual task orders. Modification 29 was awarded for the purchase of equipment for the National Severe Storms Laboratories (NSSL). This requirement is in scope per PWS sections 4.3.1 - Desktop, Laptop, and Server Support and 4.3.2 - Network LAN Support. This task order provides a variety of IT and technical support services for management, operation, and maintenance of NWS and OAR meteorological systems and equipment. This requirement is brand specific makes and models of technical equipment and parts that will satisfy the agency's needs for replacement items. The RSF1 and Oracle Solaris Subscription are required as part of the Storage Area Network hardware upgrade but had to be purchased separately from the hardware. The Government through market research has found that the RSF1 can be purchased not only through the manufacturer, but also resellers. The brand name specific Oracle Solaris Subscription which can be purchased through multiple vendors.
