- Networking RFI for Warranty Networking LSR RFI CRM ITSS Infrastructure LSR (28 Sept 12) REQUESTING FOR INFORMATION NETWORKING EQUIPMENT WARRANTY This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Quotation (RFQ); it is strictly a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a RFP or as an obligation on the part of the Government for follow-on acquisition. Responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. 1.0 OBJECTIVE The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is requesting information from industry regarding the supportability of the warranty outlined in the attached Information Technology Strategic Sourcing (ITSS) Logistics Support Requirements (LSR). An equipment list can be found in Appendix C of the LSR. MARCORSYSCOM is seeking information to determine the existence of sources that have the capability to provide worldwide product warranty support that is responsive to Part 1, Section 3.3 of the attached ITSS LSR. Warranty Support is defined in Part 1, Section 4.1 through 4.9 of the attached ITSS LSR. We are interested in receiving information from vendors capable of providing a standard warranty with a minimum of four years duration that includes both parts and labor. The standard four-year warranty will apply to all base configurations and optional equipment CLINs selected in addition to the base configuration. 2.0 Comments Resolution Matrix and White Papers The attached Comments Resolution Matrix (CRM) should be completed with comments and appropriate supporting rationale for any suggested changes to the LSR. White Papers are optional, but must be in addition to the CRM. The White Papers are limited to 5 pages, single spaced, in 12 Font, Times New Roman and should not include any equipment specs or pictures. White Papers will be due to the USMC Contracting Officer at email: anthony.fennell@usmc.mil. Due date is not later than Wednesday February 20, 2013 @ 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. White Papers are being requested in Electronic PDF format. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be part of this effort. If so included, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information. Firms responding to this RFI understand that Government Contractors, under a Market Research Task for MARCORSYSCOM, will be reviewing and collating all responses to this RFI. A. A synopsis of the company's capabilities related to this RFI. Respondents Must include the following information with their statement of capability: 1. Company name, address, telephone number, a point of contact with e-mail Address, Federal Cage Code, Data Universal Numbering Systems (DUNS) number, Systems for Award Management (SAM) Registration. 3.0 DISCLAIMER This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not an offer and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Responses should address how the company would support the Governments requirements with skills, personnel, engineering support-both field and deployed and any other information deemed necessary to present the information.
