Description

The VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Destiny Educational Services Inc. for Patient Information Resource Center Kiosk. This requirement will include the following characteristics: Product Description 1.Branding license includes: logos, staff and facility photos, text, audio and video 2.Patient Information Resource Center includes: 20" touch screen, presentation computer software, preparation and installation 3.PIRC Tablet includes: 10.1" Acer tablet, software, preparation and installation Salient Characteristics The system is designed to completely educate the patient on their specific type of cancer, describe how the treatment process works, explain the possible side effects and their mitigation, as well as discuss nutrition and follow up care. Through the use of touch screen technology, rich graphics, video clips and calming narration, the information is professionally presented and easily understood. The system is user friendly and totally interactive, allowing the patient to absorb the information at their own pace and comfort level. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 2/22/2013 15:00. Responses should be sent to Kolleen.Blanton@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
