Description
Drawings Scope of Work Solicitation to include Price Schedule; Terms and Conditions, Wage Rates The Corps of Engineers has a need for an Invasive Species Removal Service contract under Section 206 Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration project at Sheraden Park, Pittsburgh in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The general scope of work includes, but is not limited to, is the removal of invasive species from the site. The invasive species currently present at the site include the following: Japanese Knotweed, Reed Canarygrass, and Poison Hemlock. Purple Loosestrife has also been observed at the site in the past. The purpose of this project is to restore the local ecosystem through the riparian ravine and the floodplain of Chartiers Creek in Sheraden Park. The existent invasive species need to be controlled and the area re-planted with a diverse mixture of native plant species, from grasses and ferns to shrubs and trees. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small businesses (NAICS Code 561730 - $7 Million). The period of performance will be approximately 30 months (Spring 2013 through Fall 2015 to include base and options). The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued approximately February 6, 2013 on-line at the Federal Business Opportunities website; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the specifications and drawings will not be honored. Requests must be made by registering for this solicitation at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Once registered, vendors, plan rooms and printing companies will be able to download this Invitation for Bid on or after the above issuance date.
