Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, has a requirement for the manufacture, test and delivery of 4 qualification units and ECP/Technical Data Package for the BRU-55A/A Power Relay Assembly (PRA) re-design. The Government intends to procure on an other than full and open competition with EDO Corporation. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1, EDO Corporation, 1500 New Horizons Blvd, Amityville, NY, 11701. The products under this effort shall be purchased in accordance with the Delivery Order Statement of Work (SOW), to be issued under the 5-year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00164-10-G-JM39. The BRU-55 A/A is an upgrade to the current BRU-33A/A Canted Vertical (CVER) bomb rack that provides compatibility with convention stores and improved umbilical retention. EDO Corporation previously developed the BRU-55 under a SBIR contract. The BRU- 55 is an EDO proprietary design per SBIR regulations. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 30 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Questions should be directed to Joshua Patton, by email to joshua.s.patton@navy.mil
