- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to solicit and negotiate with one source. The proposed source is Steris Corporation, located at Mentor, OH 44060 to obtain maintenance support of the following equipment: 1. Six (6) AMSCO Eagle/Century SV-120 and Steam Generators; 2. One (1) AMSCO Lab 250 and Steam Generator; 3. Four (4) 20x20x38 Century ISO Sterilizer; 4. One (1) 26x26x49 Century Vac SD ST; 5. Three (3) 24x36x48 GRAV STER/STG-3's; 6. Two (2) 20x20x38 Century GRAV STER; 7. Two (2) Lab 250 Vac Man Vrt SLD SD Cab Steam ; 8. One (1) STER GRAV 24x36x6 EAGLE; 9. One (1) Lab 250 Grv Cab Steam Man VRT SLD SD; 10. One (1) VHP1000ED DOM ENG 120/60; 11. One (1) 48 Inch Century Vac DBL LT; 11. One (1) 20 Inc. Cent ISO SD 208V CAB; 12. One (1) 20" CENT VAC The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract with a 1-year period of performance with one source under the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253( c )(1)and FAR 6.302.1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the Government's requirements. The proposed source is the only known source available to provide the technical expertise for the servicing of equipment. The equipment is located in Athens, GA; Saint Louis, MO; and Alameda, CA. The award of this procurement is subject to FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds (Apr 1984). This notice of intent is not a request for quotations or a solicitation of offers. All interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement in writing to the attention of Kathy Richardson. Responses to the notice must be submitted within seven (7) calendar days of the electronic posting. Oral communications in response to this notice are not acceptable and will not be considered. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If after 1:00 p.m., Eastern Time, February 14, 2013, no viable responses have been received, USDA/FSIS will proceed with the award.
