Description

Presolicitation Notice VA256-13-Q-0409 It is the intent of the Department of Veterans Affairs to sole-source to Barrier Free Lifts, Inc, who also happens to be a Veteran-owned Small Business (VOSB), in accordance with and authorized by Statute FAR 6.302-1 for the following requirement: Contractor shall provide all required materials, shipping, transportation, and labor to professionally install custom aluminum folding shower curtain rods ranging from 52.5" to 83.7" in each of the 96 rooms in the Continued Living Center. Rods shall be mounted to allow ceiling-mounted patient lift systems to pass into shower as necessary and must include white shower curtains which are waterproof, 100% fire retardant and compliant with NFPA-701. Curtains must be of a breathable "easy-on easy-off" design. Estimated requirements are for a minimum of 80 folding shower-curtain rods and an additional shelf stock of a minimum of 96 rods. Contractor shall also provide all required materials, shipping, transportation, and labor to professionally replace existing carrier hooks on existing traditional cubicle curtain trak with new #11 Glide carrier hooks and install snap-style cubicle curtains using pattern: Fleur Desel/color cobblestone. Curtains must be 100% fire-retardant and comply with NFPA-701, with either white or beige mesh. Estimated requirements include 16 ea 182" W x96"L curtains w/mesh including three panels, 16 ea 240" W x 96" L curtains including four panels and a minimum shelf-stock of 66 additional panels. Summary of estimated requirements: 80 custom Gated Shower Rods 96 "Easy-on Easy-off" polyester white shower curtains 32 custom made Snap-on cubicle curtains using Fleur Desel/Cobblestone Fabric 66 panels for overstock 1,150 (#11) glide carrier hooks NAICS code is 423450 Medical, Dental, and Hospital Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers, size standard 100 employees. Materials fall under V797P-4491B VA FSS contract; however, the installation and shipping are considered open market. Solicitation shall be released on or about Tuesday, February 12th with response/quote due back by February 19th. Short time frame is due to the length of time required to set up installation.
