- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for proposal and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation available at this time. Military Sealift Command, Norfolk, is seeking eligible businesses to perform the following davit service: 1.0 ABSTRACT 1.1 This item describes the requirement to service, test and recertify the Port and Stbd RHIB davit. 2.0 REFERENCES 2.1 T/M Rescue Boat Davit, Model D-5800FCTS MFR Allied Systems 3.0 ITEM LOCATION / DESCRIPTION 3.1 Location/Qty: Two(2), Port and Stbd side 02 Level Frame 600 3.2 Description: Manufacturer: Allied Systems Model D-5800FCTS, S/N 2071/2072 Capacity 5800 Lbs 4.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/ MATERIAL: None 5.0 NOTES: 6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None additional 7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED 7.1 Provide the services of a technical representative to accomplish the following. 7.1.1 Perform operational testing of the Port/Stbd Rescue Boat Davit units. Raise and lower each rescue boat, with the assistance of ships force, utilizing the rescue boat davit set. Note any deficiencies in the operation of the rescue boat davit Inspect entire hydraulic system for leaks and make adjustments to bring the system back to OEM specification. 7.1.2 After completion of satisfactory operation and inspection assist ships' force in replacing wire rope. Supervise weight testing of the davit. 7.1.3 Submit report detailing all work performed and recommended repairs. Report shall be submitted to the Chief Mater and Port Engineer within 10 days of departure. Sources may be large or small business concerns. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. This is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. It is requested that interested businesses submit a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the requested services. Submission of a capabilities package is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government in tailoring requirement to be consistent with industry. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (a) Company profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, and CAGE Code (b) Point of contact, telephone number, fax number, address, and email address (if available) (c) Proof of ability to complete the requested services above. Vendors shall be registered in the SAM database (http://www.sam.gov) and complete Online Representations & Certifications (http://orca.bpn.gov).
