- This is a competitive 100% Small Business Set-aside Request for Quotation (RFQ). The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 335911 with a size standard of 500 employees or less. This acquisition will be handled as a commercial item acquisition prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 12 and 13. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. Provide and install a 125-volt, vented lead acid (flooded) battery bank, racks, and spill containment systems for Kofa substation. The new 125-volt switchgear battery bank shall consist of 58 cells (one cell per jar), be a wet/flooded cell, lead acid, Hoppecke Type 8 OPzS 800 FR or approved equal, have a minimum nominal eight-hour rating to 1.75 volts per cell at 77 degrees F of at least 920 Ah capacity, and shall be designed for utility switchgear and control applications. The existing GNB, Model Absolyte IIP, Type 90A-11 (VRLA Gel) 700 Ah cells, quantity 58, shall be removed by the Contractor.
