- Statement of Work for the NIOSH project entitled: Nursing, Shift Work, Occupational Exposures, and Pregnancy The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source fixed price purchase order to Brigham & Women's Hospital (BWH) in Boston, Massachusetts, to prepare and analyze data from the Nurses' Health Study 3 to analyze the relationship between occupational exposures and adverse pregnancy outcomes. The contractor will use the data obtained from the Nurses' Health Study III (NHS3), an ongoing cohort study of over 100,000 registered nurses. BWH researchers have exclusive access to the data gathered under the NHS3 and no other data base has the large sample size and the specific data variables needed. Additional information about this effort is found in the attached Statement of Work. This procurement action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found in FAR Part 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. All vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov, (formerly known as Central Contractor Registry (CCR) www.ccr.gov), prior to an award of a federal contract. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
