Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using acquisition of commercial items procedures under FAR part 12 to procure a Zoll AutoPulses non-invasive Cardiac Support Pump for generating consistent and uninterrupted chest compressions for improved blood flow during cardiac arrest. This is a notice of the intent for procurement by the Government, of a Firm Fixed Price, sole source contract. This requirement is for essential equipment used by the rescue unit. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for the Zoll AutoPulse to Zoll Medical Corporation Worldwide Headquarters, 269 Mill Road, Chelmsford, Mass 01824-4105. The Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency's requirements. The anticipated release date of the award is within the next 30 days. This requirement is being offered on a NAICS Code 423450. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for quotation. No solicitation document is available and telephone, fax or email request will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government.
