Description

fire ext pics This is NOT a request for Bid. This is a pre solicitation to survery the number of potential vendors interested in the purchase of app 7,000 fire extinguishers. The extinguishers are Dry Chem, CO2 and stainless steel water. They are not segregated by size or type. Some may possibly be reused and some will be scrap. All will be sold as unserviceable scrap and the Government will assume no liability. Most extinguishers are charged, just expired.Interested vendors should contact me by email timothy.fitzgerald1@us.army.mil The extinguishers are as is and the vendor will be responsible for load out. Some may be in crates moveable by forklift, some are not. Some are in connexes and will have to be handloaded by vendor. The bid will be by the pound and all loads will be certified via government scale weight verified by both the vendor or his agent (transporter ) and a representative from the Fort Polk Qualified Recycling program. The weight ticket will serve as official document from which the amount payable to the QRP will be tallied Arrangements can be made to view property via the above point of contact. See attachment for photos Extinguishers are stored at the Directorate of Logistics and Fort Polk Emergency Services.
