- BACKGROUND This is a Sources Sought notice to support the Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) Office of Information Systems (SI). The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to gather information regarding services in support of DEA's intranet systems Firebird and Spider Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. REQUIREMENTS DEA's IT infrastructure is built on an enterprise wide Microsoft platform of products. In order to ensure mission critical operation and maintenance support we require Microsoft Premier Support. The Microsoft Premier Support provides the following mission critical support: direct access to the various Microsoft product teams which have the capability to provide hot fixes(changes to the source code) to the Microsoft products utilized within the infrastructure. The following are the minimum requirements: •· Direct vendor support of the Microsoft products on the DEA IT infrastructure for vendor level troubleshooting and product "hot fixes" to product source code. •· Contractor employees must submit to a background investigation to obtain position-specific clearance. Access to DEA's Firebird and Spider systems require a Secret level clearance. •· Compliance with: •o Privacy Act •o Computer Security Act •o Section 508 •o Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) •o Relevant DOJ Security policies and procedures •· See attached Statement of Objectives RESPONSES Interested sources are asked to provide their responses in Times New Roman, 12 point font. Responses must include the following information: 1. Company name; mailing address; physical address; point of contact; telephone number; fax number; e-mail address; DUNS number; NAICS code; and GSA schedule number (if applicable). 2. Firm's business size status, small or other than small. If small, indicate whether your firm is 8(a) certified, a small disadvantaged business, a woman-owned small business, HUBZone certified or service-disabled veteran-owned small business. 3. A corporate capability statement between one and ten pages that includes relevant experience within the past three years. Relevant experience is defined as possessing the experience described in the "Requirements" section above. 4. A Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing for one year of services. 5. A representative sample of contracts your firm have been awarded to provide the requirements as described in this notice within the past three years. For each contract listed, include the type of contract; total estimated value; contract period of performance (e.g., base and number of option periods); customer (i.e. federal agency) and respective point of contact (e.g., point of contact's name, phone number, and email address). SUBMISSION All responses to this notice shall be submitted in writing to Nanaesi Amoo, Contract Specialist, at nanaesi.amoo@usdoj.gov no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Time (EST) on September 24, 2012. Corporate Capabilities: The capabilities statements shall provide the general background, experience, and qualifications of the organization to include the organization's structure, similarity of experience and knowledge of proposed personnel, and the company's capacity to support all aspects of the project effort if resource issues challenge the project's success. Staffing: Interested sources shall provide its approach or demonstrate its ability to recruit/possess qualified personnel for all aspects of the project, specifically direct vendor support. Please note that the information provided in this Sources Sought notice is to be used for acquisition planning purposes to determine the available sources for the services described herein. This is not a solicitation and proposals are not being requested at this time. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award. Responses will not be considered proposals. The DEA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested sources responding to this Sources Sought notice. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) website. It is the responsibilty of the potential offerors to monitor FBO for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
